Charles Cohen is Senior Vice President of American Entertainment Investors, (AEI). His responsibilities include managing Portfolio Funding Company, LLC, which owns the bulk of the Weinstein Company Library and provided a working capital facility to the Weinstein Company to fund overhead, productions, acquisitions and distribution expenses. Prior to joining AEI, Cohen was CEO/President of Extra Large Technology (“XLT”) an animation studio in Hollywood, which specialized in producing family entertainment. Cohen guided XLT’s production of Playmobil’s The Secret of Pirate Island, as well as three movies featuring MGA’s popular Bratz dolls – Livin’ It Up With The BratzBratz Glitz ‘n Glamour andLil’ Bratz Party Time.  Cohen was responsible for developing and producing XLT’s original content, including the graphic novel Boy Zero featured in Heavy Metal Magazine. Mr. Cohen has been a film producer and writer for over 20 years. His credits include the award-winning The Gambler (starring Michael Gambon and Jodhi May) for Film Four and Canal Plus, Beyond Forgiveness (starring Rutger Hauer and Thomas Ian Griffin) for NuImage/Showtime/Republic, Lady Beware (starring Diane Lane) and Eddie & The Cruisers: Eddie Lives for IVE/Scotti Bros.  Projects in development include an adaptation of Ghost in the Rainbow based on the novel by Joan Leslie Woodruff.  Mr. Cohen is a graduate of Yale University.
